WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are currently welcoming applications from experienced dance instructors who are:

• warm, empathetic, patient, and encouraging
• able to teach technique safely and clearly, especially to beginners
• grounded, humble, and excited to be part of a collaborative team
• reliable communicators who come prepared and support consistency
• available evenings and weekends, 4–20 hours per week
• able to teach their style or styles exclusively with The Underdog in Waterloo
• comfortable working as either a part-time employee or an independent contractor

WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE:

A great class at Underdog is warm, structured, and supportive. You’ll teach 50-minute classes using safe progressions, encourage students through their learning curve, and contribute to the positive energy that makes Underdog feel like a second home.

You’ll follow our teaching frameworks (with lots of room for your personality), collaborate with fellow instructors, and help uphold our commitment to safety, clarity, and inclusivity.

Employees receive paid required training; contractors have onboarding expectations appropriate to their agreement.
